October Chilli Feast & Film

As part of the annual Forth Valley Food Festival, Foragers have teamed up with The Old Mill Restaurant in Killearn and filmmaker Zev Robinson, to create a unique evening film screening and dinner experience, held in the Old Mill's enchanting yurt. Diners will be treated to a screening of Zev's documentary 'The Great British Chilli' - a film reflecting on the evolution of food over the last couple of decades in the UK and on how
the use of chillies has influenced British food. The film has recently been re-edited to include Foragers Foods, a farm growing chillies near Killearn.

The film will be followed by a special three course locally-sourced menu, designed to show how mild chillies can be used to enhance the flavour of a dish without overpowering it. Film maker Zev Robinson, Old Mill owner Alice Silverwood, and Foragers farmer Gary McAlpine will also be on hand for a panel discussion.  Watch the trailer here, and book below:

A new relish to join our range of chilli based products

Creamed Corn and Chilli Relish

Smooth and creamy with fruity Palivec chillies grown in Stirlingshire, this handmade relish is perfect as a sandwich spread with cold meat, cheese and salad or stirred through pasta for an ultra-easy meal. Also a delicious snacking dip with tortillas, oatcakes, crackers and pita bread.
